Obituary

Phyllis Dianne Frans
(August 21, 1949 - October 23, 2021)

Phyllis Dianne Frans, loving wife and mother of 4 children, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on October 23, 2021, at age 72. Dianne was born on August 21, 1949, in Strawberry, Arkansas to William and Hazel Patton. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings (Peggy, Sandra, Mike, and Mark). She is survived by her husband Whit Jr.; her children, Leslie, Whit III, Rebecca Christine, and Logan; 10 grandkids, and 4 great grandkids, as well as her brother Roger. She was married to Whit Jr. for 48 years. As a wonderful homemaker she made a home that was inviting to family and friends alike. She had active role in her children’s lives and left a legacy for them to follow. She always had a smile on her face and dearly loved to laugh. Her sweet spirit was endearing to all who met her, including perfect strangers. As a strong Christian woman she was involved in many church functions and ministries throughout her life. Her greatest desire was that all her family would come to know the Lord. The viewing and services will be as follows: Date: October 31, 2021 at Bloomingdale Salem Baptist Church 5554 State Route 10, Salt Rock, WV, 25559 with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and the funeral starting at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting a donation be made towards Bloomingdale Salem Baptist Church’s Food Pantry Ministry. Currently this ministry serves on average 75-100 food boxes per month. Dianne loved giving to this ministry, especially around Thanksgiving when they would provide Thanksgiving Baskets to the families in need. These baskets are filled with all the fixin’s needed for a Thanksgiving Feast.
