Obituary

Glennis "Glen" Jividen
(July 22, 1938 - October 15, 2021)



Glennis "Glen" Jividen, 83, of Kenova, husband of Belinda Jividen of 35 ½ years, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. at Monday, October 18, 2021 at First Independent Missionary Baptist Church, Kenova by Pastor Scott Byard and Pastor Zachary Johnson. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova. He was born July 22, 1938 in Red House, WV, a son of the late Oshel and Hazel Jividen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea Pennington; son, Ricky Jividen; step-son, Benjamin Ronk; sister and brother-in-law, Eunice and Caroll Stone; and brother, Elvin Jividen. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Randy and Anthony Jividen; stepdaughter, Stacie Ronk Patel (Mukesh); grandchildren, Joshua and Amber Jividen, Brandi and Bradley Pennington, Cody Jividen (Jessica), Zach Jividen, Dylan Ronk, Andrew Patel (Hollis), Ryan Spears (Aimi), Matthew Patel, Hannah Patel, Grace Patel and Jay Patel; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Vernon, Olin, Merrill, and Veril Jividen; sister-in-law, Faye Jividen; daughter-in-law, Cindy Jividen; and former daughter-in-law, Tammy Jividen; best friend, Buck Lykins; and many nieces and nephews. Glen worked at Novamont and it’s many name changes for 37 years. Glen was involved in Little League and umpired for 30 plus years. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
