Mary Virginia Harrison
(June 3, 1933 - October 26, 2022)

Mary Virginia Harrison, 89, formerly of Covington, KY, died on October 26, 2022 in Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Muncie, IN. She was born on June 3, 1933 in Vienna, WV. She was a graduate of Beaver High School in Bluefield, WV. She attended Asbury College (now Asbury University) in Wilmore, KY and earned both BS and MS degrees from Marshall College (now Marshall University). Her teaching career included both secondary and college undergraduate levels and included assignments in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, California, and Kentucky. She retired from Holmes Junior High School in Covington. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. H. H. Harrison and Virginia Zinn Harrison, one sister, Ruth Harrison Hayes, and one brother, John P. Harrison. She is survived by siblings George W. Harrison, Upland, IN; Thomas H. Harrison (June), Tarpon Springs, FL; Charles L. Harrison (Linda), Huntington, WV; Nancy Swanson (Don), Brooksville, FL; Martha Blackburn (James), Fishers, IN; and James W. Harrison, Princeton, WV. She was dearly loved by her family, including nieces and nephews. She will long be remembered for her loving deeds, her sense of humor, her brilliant scholarship, and her care and concern for her special friends and family. She had a strong, personal relationship with the Lord, and was faithful to attend worship services when she was physically able. The family is grateful for the quality of care and the loving concern and attention directed to Mary and to us by the staff and management of both Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center and Heart To Heart Hospice.
