DOLORES IRENE JONES 82 of Hagerstown, MD formerly of Huntington, WV, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday August 23, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Community of Grace United Methodist Church, 28th Street and 3rd Avenue, with Rev. William DeMoss officiating. Burial will be in Crown City Cemetery, Crown City, OH. She was born May 16, 1929 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Charles Homer and Lyde Sims Beever. Dolores graduated from Huntington East High School and attended Marshall University and Business School. After raising her children she worked at Guarantee and United Banks, National Alliance of Business and was a former secretary for the Cabell County Board of Education. She was a very active member of the former Otterbein United Methodist Church where she served as co-youth director. She was a member and former president of the Huntington Cabell Republican Women. She is survived by her husband, Ernest H. Jones; a son and daughter-in-law, David B. and Karen Jones of Harrisonburg, PA; two daughters, Stephanie Jones Diamond of Charles Town, WV and Jennifer Jones of Shepherdstown, WV; grandchildren, Karissa Horowicz and husband, Christopher of Shepherdstown, WV; David M. Jones and wife, Karen of Hagerstown, MD; Eric R. Jones of New York, NY; Natasha Diamond and husband, Jeffrey Altemus of Morgantown, WV and Nicholas Diamond and wife, Meg of Inwood, WV and great grandchildren, Cullen, Griffin and Aiden Horowicz, Abraham and Max Jones and Willa Mae and Jon Ernest Altemus. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Huntington City Mission.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary.
