Jack N. Irby
(March 23, 1928 - September 4, 2010)



Mr. Jack Nathan Irby, 82, of Huntington, husband of Nona Minter Irby, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 pm Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Rev. Jerry Chapman officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. He was born March 23, 1928 in Huntington, WWV, a son of the late Leslie and Tessie Flowers Irby. In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. He was retired from Owens-Illinois, and was a veteran, serving in the US Army during Korea. He attended Open Door Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law; Donna Jean and Robert McKeand of Huntington, Ditha June and Dorsol Plants, of Milton, WV; a son and daughter-in-law, David Alan and Ruth Irby of Florence, KY; grandchildren, Dorsol and Dominic Plants, Lisa, Grant, Brenda, Monica and T. J. Irby; and a sister-in-law, Louise Irby. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday, September 6, 2010. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post # 1064.
