Michael Stephen Smith, 60, of Huntington, husband of Vickie Miller Smith, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was a Union Laborer, and was a volunteer for the DAV over the last 20 years. A celebration of his life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary. Born May 23, 1956, in Montgomery, WV, he was the son of the late Herbert and Virginia Hager Smith. One sister, Suzanne Shuff and one brother, Jack Smith also preceded him in death. Survivors in addition to his wife include; one daughter, Kaylee Marie Smith; two step-daughters and their spouses, Karry and Merritt Davis, Emilee and Billy Barrett; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Carl Varnum, Linda and Mike Holley, Jennifer and Dave Ellis; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Pat and Charlotte Smith, and Larry Smith; 4 grandchildren, Orion, Ben, Drake and Reagan; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
