Josephine Inez Hatcher, 67 of Huntington, WV passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born in Logan, WV on September 11, 1950 to the late Hubert Oscar Hatcher and Mary O’Dell (Griffin) Hatcher Binder. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Andrea Shaw Ibezim, Lanita Hatcher and Gail Stubblefield. Josephine attended Buffalo Grade School in Man, WV; Oley Jr. High in Huntington, WV and later received her GED. She was employed in her early years at the A.D. Lewis Community Center as a pool worker; Steel of WV and Mildred-Mitchell Bateman Hospital. She was a member of the Glorious Church, Huntington WV. Josephine enjoyed shopping, traveling and attending family gatherings. She leaves behind to mourn her loss; sisters, Catherine Allen (Joseph) of Burlington, OH, Leola Johnson, Levonia Anderson (Frank) and Janice Hatcher all of Huntington, WV; brothers, Thomas Shaw of Huntington, WV, Nathaniel Hatcher of St. Louis, Missouri and Wesley Hall (Markessa) of South Point, OH. Also, surviving are two special nieces: Kaprisia Hatcher and Tyesha Branch; a special friend, Sheila Tubbs and special cousin, Thelma Davis; God-kids: Paulette & Georgette Dabney; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Glorious Church with Elder Jimmie Lapsley & Bishop Gary P. Brydie, officiating. Family will welcome friends at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.
