Obituary

ELLA E. SCARBERRY UNDERWOOD, 72, of Lesage went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 5, 2004, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Doug Spurlock and Pastor Paul Spence officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Underwood, Jr., Scott Scarberry, Dwayne Scarberry, Jonathan Fulks, Alva Pinkerman and Mark Scarberry. She was born November 25, 1931, in Cabell County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Henry Scarberry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rex Underwood and two brothers, Rex Scarberry and Billy Scarberry. She is survived by five sisters, Patricia Scarberry, Eloise Scarberry, Rosa Scarberry and Ruby Hannah, all of Lesage, and Deloris Roten of Huntington; one brother, James Scarberry of Ona; many nieces, nephews and loved ones and a special friend, Evelyn Mount.
