Obituary

 Irland L. Fetty, 85, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 30, 2007 in Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Ft. Pierce, FL.  Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Florida Street Baptist Church with Rev. James Jobe officiating.  Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.  He was born July 30, 1921 in Lawrence County, OH a son of the late Dim Ivan and Ida Ethyl Fetty.  He was also preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Orland; his brother, Valkie; two sisters, Okal Davis and Pauline Fetty.  He served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict, and was a retired truck driver.  Irland loved to farm.  He enjoyed being around people and loved to laugh.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wilma Peyton Fetty; eight children, Forest Lester Fetty of Milton, Brenda and Terry Womack of Milton, Dorla and Chris Ebersole of Okeechobee, FL, Janet and Ron Yates of Milton, Barbara Ragland of Milton, Larry and Joyce Fetty of Milton, Gail and Dale Eggleton of Scott Depot, and Reda E. Jarrell-Miller of South Point, OH; three brothers, David Fetty of Williamstown, WV, Kenneth Fetty of Huntington, Earl Fetty of Ona; four sisters, Doris Neal of Milton, Eloise Hinkle of Ford, WV, Betty Miller of Columbus, OH, and Lucille Bostic of Hurricane, WV; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and a host of friends and church family.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
