Obituary

 

Millie “MeMa” Ray, 79, of Barboursville, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, March 07, 2007 at her residence.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Daniel Beaver officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  Millie was born December 2, 1927 in Salt Rock, a daughter of the late Lewis William and Nancy Hatfield Venoy.  She is also preceded in death by four brothers, Truman, Forest, Paul and Hubert Venoy; two sisters, Wilma Bledsoe and Gladys Venoy.  She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.  She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles Wesley Ray; one son, Steve and his wife Sharon Ray; one daughter, Sherry and her husband Roger McCallister; four grandchildren and their spouses, Bobby and Jan Ray, Dennis and Tina Ray, Melanie Napier and Wesley McCallister; six great grandchildren, Matt, Sarah, Morgan, Elaina, Tia and Kenna; one great-great grandchild, Andrew.  The family would like to give special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Sharon for her tender loving care.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
