Elizabeth Ann Pierson Hoffman, 78, of Milton passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Huntington Health & Rehab Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born June 1, 1933 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Floyd and Martha Perdue Smith. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Scott Pierson and her late husband, Earl Hoffman; a son, James Bart Pierson; and three brothers. Ann was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she was involved in the bus ministry and choir for many years as well as various other ministries. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Diane Pierson, Scott and Sharon Pierson and Brett and Kristi Pierson, all of Ona; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Donald Chapman of Huntington; one brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Mikie Smith of NC; six grandchildren, Kimberly Smith, Kristopher Bowyer, James Scott Pierson, Erica Jude, Jessi Pierson and Jossi Tierney; nine great grandchildren, Lakeyn Smith, Christian Smith, Isaac Pierson, Isaiah Pierson, Gracee Bowyer, Payton Bowyer, Mali Jude, Brinkley Jude and Colton Tierney; and a host of many other family and friends. Friends may call Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
