GLENNA MAE RAMSEY
(September 24, 1925 - September 30, 2014)



Glenna Mae Ramsey, 89, of Huntington, passed away, Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted AT 10:00 am on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, with Pastor Trent Eastman officiating. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born September 24, 1925 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Clarence and Rena Elkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Ramsey; four brothers: Lester, Clarence Jay, Earnest and Raymond. She was a homemaker, a Red Cross volunteer, and a member of New Baptist Church and the BYKOTA (“Be Ye Kind One To Another” Ephesians 4:32) Sunday School Class. Survivors include: five sisters; Frances Jones, Dorothy Wellman, Nancy Canterbury, Imogene Chapman and Phyllis Alford. Also surviving are her two children: Michael Ramsey (Roxanne) Judy Kachelreis (Bob): four grandchildren: Marissa Garrido-Ramirez Ramsey (Carlos), Alisha Ramsey, Brad Kachelreis (Nadia) and Christy Porter (Josh). Seven Great Grandchildren: Izaiah and Izabelle Garrido-Ramirez, Katelyn, Lillie and Robbie Kachelreis, and Matthew and Hannah Porter. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday at the mortuary.  Memorial donations may be made to the Gideon’s International.
