MICHAEL SCOT TANNER
(April 22, 1970 - September 24, 2014)



Michael Scot Tanner, 44 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. He was born April 22, 1970 in Huntington, W.Va. the son of Charles and Freddie Burns Tanner of Huntington, W.Va. Scot was a graduate of Barboursville High School, Huntington Junior College and Marshall University. He worked at the Woodlands Retirement Community and Mountwest Community and Technical College.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Tessie Tanner and Fred and Evelyn Burns. In addition to his parents, Scot is survived by one sister, Cheryl Tanner of Richwood, W.Va; ex-wife, Jacquelyn Tanner of Barboursville, W.Va.; ex-mother-in-law, Brenda Fisher of Canonsburg, KY; his girlfriend, Meredith Thompson of Huntington, W.Va. a very special dog, Maizy and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family requests that memorial donations be made in Scots memory to Hospice of Huntington or Little Victories Animal Rescue. There will be no services. Private Burial will follow at a later date. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. is caring for the family.
