Margaret Beach
(May 16, 1922 - July 24, 2016)

Margaret Mae Scott Beach 94, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away  July 24, 2016 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 16, 1922 in Huntington, W.Va. the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Mae Washington Scott.  She was a retired florist, operated concessions for the Veterans Memorial Field House where her husband Harold was the manager, as well as concessions for the Fairfield Stadium.  She was a member of Second Guyandotte Baptist Church and active with the Cabell-Wayne Association of the Blind. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold William Beach; a son, Mike Beach; daughter-in-law, Cherry Beach and two grandchildren, Mallory and Jeromy Beach. She is survived by one daughter, Becky Beach Poynter of Huntington, W.Va. and a grandson, Logan Poynter of Huntington, W.Va.  The family would like to thank the staff at Chateau Grove Senior Living for the care they gave Margaret. A Celebration of her life will be conducted at 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary Huntington, W.Va. with her great-great nephew, Heath Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until service time at the mortuary.
