Mary E. Johnson
(January 25, 1928 - July 4, 2016)

Mary E. Johnson, 88 of Chesapeake, OH. passed away Monday July 4, 2016 at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, OH. She was born January 25, 1928 in Huntington, W.Va, the daughter of the late Charles P. Diehl and Edna Isabelle Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Farley Johnson, two brothers Charles and Alfie Hall; as well as two sisters, Rachael Lopez and Virginia Brown. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at New Beginning Apostolic Church in Huntington, W.Va. with Bishop Norman Mills and Pastor Todd Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington, W.Va. She is survived by her daughter, Clova Marie Harris of Palm Coast, FL; two sons, Roy Lee (Karen) Johnson of Huntington, W.Va and Phillip Ray (Dina) Johnson of Chesapeake, OH; six grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Kenneth Johnson, Jason Johnson, Angie Chatterton, David Harris and Scottie Johnson; three great grandchildren, Sadie, Landon and Liam; as well as a special niece and nephew, Harvey Hall Jr. of Proctorville, OH and Patricia Davis of South Point, OH. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2016 at New Beginning Apostolic Church, Huntington, WV. from 6-8 pm. Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. near Barboursville is caring for the family.
