Carrie L. Watts
(October 29, 1921 - July 4, 2016)



Carrie Lillian Adkins Watts, 94 of Barboursville, W.Va. went to be with her Lord on July 4, 2016. Funeral services conducted at 11 a.m., Friday July 8th, 2016 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, East Pea Ridge Road, Barboursville, by Pastor Danny Evans. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park Huntington, WV. She was born on October 29, 1921 in Lincoln County, WV the daughter of the late Smiley Adkins and Mary (Tooley) Adkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Watts.  She is survived by her son, Mykel Watts (Karen) of Lavallette, WV and daughters Patti Morgan (Mitch) of Parkersburg, WV and Rebecca Capps (Thomas) of Mayflower, AR. Two brothers, Thomas Adkins of Dayton, OH and Jonah Adkins of Kissimmee, FL.  Five grandchildren, Bradley and Bryan Morgan, Kevin Killen, Ellen and Molly Watts and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were seven brothers, Woodrow, Frank, Smiley Jr., George, James Moses, Johnny, and Rayburn.  Two sisters, Matilda Beals and Lillie Trout. She was a charter member of the Farmdale Church of Christ. She was the owner of the Green Lantern restaurant and the Center Café, both in Barboursville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, East Pea Ridge Road, Barboursville.
