Mary Schiff Cantor

Mary Schiff Cantor, 102, of Oak Park, Michigan, formerly of Huntington, died Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Michigan. She was born February 14, 1910 in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Samuel and Rachael Kapul Schiff. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Cantor, four sisters and three brothers. She was a member of B'nai Sholom Congregation and the B'nai Sholom Sister Hood and Huntington Chapter of Hadassah. She is survived by three children, Rena Cantor Steirn of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Shirley Cantor Sweet of Huntington Woods, Michigan and Robert Cantor of Sun Lakes, Arizona; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at The B'nai Sholom Congregation by Rabbi Dr. David Wucher. Interment will follow in the B'nai Israel Section of Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Synagogue after the interment. Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be made to an organization of one's choice.
