Betty Jo Veazey
(June 20, 1931 - October 30, 2011)



Betty Jo Veazey, 80, of Huntington, widow of Morris K. Veazey, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Dr. Allen Reasons. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born June 20, 1931 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late James F. and Margaret Virginia Billups Fulks. She was a retired employee of Owens-Illinois Glass Co. Betty was a member of the 5th Ave. Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star in Kentucky and the Owen's Retiree Club. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Jennie Lynne Veazey and a brother James F. Fulks, Jr. Survivors include three sons and daughters in law, Morris K. Veazey, Jr. (Judith) of Huntington, John K. Veazey (Karen) of Huntington and J. Michael Veazey (Sonya) of Atlanta, GA.; a daughter and son in law Janet L Weant (Michael A)of Wadsworth, Ohio; grandchildren M. Todd Veazey (Katherine) of Huntington, Katie Beth Keener (Andy) of Buckhannon, WV, Anna Michelle Weant and Timothy M. Weant both of Wadsworth, Ohio and Grant Michael Veazey and Ashley Alden Veazey both of Atlanta; four great grandchildren Kayla Bunyan and Annessa Grace Veazey both of Huntington and Kyleigh Paige Keener and Caiden Lane Keener both of Buckhannon, WV; two brothers and sisters in law Richard L. Fulks (Joanne) and Thomas R. Fulks (Judy) all of Bradenton, Fla., a sister and brother in law Nancy Gail Christian (Bill) of Summit, KY; two sisters in law Betty Fulks of New York and Edith Hay (George) of Barboursville, WV. and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday and noon until 1 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
