Obituary



Juanita Faye Bledsoe, age 80, went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was born in Logan County on August 29, 1936 and she was one of nine children. She worked as a telephone operator for C & P Phone Company before starting a family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Harrison Trent and Lucy Ida Vance; two sisters, Ethel Mae Crider and Gladys Heading along with three brothers, Denver Trent, Ernest Trent, and Winston Trent. Juanita is survived by her husband of sixty years Fred Bledsoe Sr.; her sons, Fred Bledsoe Jr. and spouse Jeanine Bledsoe, Timothy Bledsoe and life partner, Rob Harris; and a daughter Susan Hatton along with two cherished grandsons, Christopher and Andrew Hatton. She is also survived by her three sisters Betty Konikoff, Romaine Jones and spouse Jim Jones and Sue RuoRock in addition to a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her church family at the Good Samaritan Church where she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School for many years. A Celebration of Life service will be officiated by Rev. Bob Hale for Juanita's family and friends on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Church, 1610 Florence Avenue, Huntington, WV. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am to 11:30 am with the service beginning at 11:30 am. There will be no graveside services. She was loved by all who met her and she will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful doctors and ICU nurses that cared for her during her hospitalization at Cabell Huntington Hospital
