Hazel Marie Gooderham, 87 of Huntington, WV passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 22 at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Dan Preece and Pastor Bernie Riggs. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Hazel was born January 17, 1930 in Wayne County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Granville Thomas and Ida Mae Ferguson Howerton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie Benson Gooderham, seven brothers: Azel Howerton, Orion Howerton, Virgil Howerton, Arthur Howerton, Thomas Howerton, Jr., Jim Howerton and John Homer Howerton; four sisters: Gladys Perdue, Betty Jane Martin, Kathleen Howerton, and Marjorie Howerton. Those that survive her include one brother, Robert F. (Audrey L.) Howerton and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her loving care givers: Dena Howerton, Pam McCullough, Jessica Scaggs and April Scaggs. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 21 at the Reger Funeral Home.
