BOBBY LEE ADKINS SR.

"He left" for home, that eternal home in heaven not made by human hand, on Saturday morning April 26, 2014. BOBBY LEE ADKINS SR., of Huntington, W.Va., departed this life after a brief but severe bout of cancer leaving behind his loving wife Beverly, of 49 years 6 months. He was the son of the late Arnold and Iva Adkins; brother of the late Rickey D. Adkins; grandson of the late Albert "Jinks" and Nora Ramey and Walter and Maudie Adkins. He was a member and trustee of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves behind a daughter Valerie (Van) Towler of Lexington, Ky., and a son Bobby Lee Jr. (Wendy) Adkins of Huntington, W.Va. He leaves behind those whom he called grandsons, Dalton Graham and Dustin Gwinn, both of Huntington. He also leaves behind brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and BEAR his almost constant companion for the past three years. Viewing will be held at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, W.Va., on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville by Pastor Paul Holton. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon at Macedonia Baptist Church following the burial at Bowen Cemetery.
