Chester Max White
(November 18, 1937 - April 30, 2014)



Chester Max White, 76, of Lesage, WV, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at St. Marys Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jamie Jefferson and Rev. Gordon Rutherford. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. He was born November 18, 1937 in Lesage, a son of the late Gomer and Virginia Faye Rutherford White. He was a retired employee of INCO with 37 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved gardening. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy D. Johnson and one sister, Janet Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Donna Colegrove White; one daughter and son -in-law, Amy and Tracy Burgess of Huntington; two grandchildren, Dustin Burgess and his wife, Alyssa,, of Canton, OH., and Abigail Johnson of Dassel, MN; brother and sister-in-law, Rusty and Connie Gray, and their children, Thomas P Gray, Chante Gray and Jamie Lemley and her husband, Mike; and a very special friend and doctor- Dr. Richard DelCheccolo. Pallbearers will be Rusty Gray, Tracy Burgess, James Ingram, Larry Cassity, James McClure, Dustin Burgess, Tom Gray, and Dennis McComas. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
