Rheabel Jarrell Vance "Gaw Gaw"
(March 4, 1920 - July 3, 2014)



Rheabel Jarrell Vance Gaw Gaw 94, formerly from Barboursville, WV passed from this life Thursday, July 3, 2014. She rejoices in her heavenly home for eternity, no more confusion and no more pain. Rheabel loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian, wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She was born March 4, 1920 in Lincoln County, WV, a daughter of the late Frank and Docia Jarrell. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Waltie Vance and infant son Richard Joseph Vance. Left to cherish her memory are daughters and son-in -laws, Eleanor (Craig) McClure of Venice, FL and Aimee (Marshall) Cartwright of Clermont, FL; sister Louella Vance of Barboursville, WV; grandchildren Jason (Michele) Cartwright of Eleanor, WV; Wyatt (April) Cartwright of Clermont, FL and Sydney (Frank) Fletcher of Venice, FL; great grandchildren Lauren, Hannah, Emma, Jackson and Haley Cartwright; and several loving nieces and nephews. Rheabel was blessed with a dear friend, Albert Merritt of Wayne County. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Wayne Nursing and rehabilitation center staff and Hospice of Huntington Staff for the loving care given to our Mother during her lengthy battle with diabetes and alzheimers. Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
