(November 9, 1927 - June 3, 2015)

HELEN MAY WEEKLY, 87, of Barboursville, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Wyngate Assisted Living in Barboursville. Helen was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Man, W.Va., to George and Essylt Crowe Vincen. After graduating from Man High School, she attended Marshall University, where she met and married her husband of 55 years, Glen E. Weekly, who preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her son, John E. Weekly, and granddaughter, Shanna G. Weekly. Helen is survived by her son, Bill Weekly and his wife, Kathy, of Barboursville; grandsons, Peyton Weekly of Barboursville and Lindsey Baker (Heather) of Seattle, Wash; great-granddaughters, Abby Boling and Bryn Baker; an aunt, Victory Crowe; a special niece, Karen Fitch (Jim) of Louisville, Ky.; several other nieces and nephews whom she loved; and a host of cherished friends. After Marshall, Helen taught school in Man, W.Va., before moving back to Huntington, where she devoted most of her time to being a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and later, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member at both Pea Ridge Baptist Church and later in life at Barboursville Baptist Church, where she was very active in the women's ministries and the church nursery. Helen also was active and held several offices in Barboursville Eastern Star Chapter #95, East Huntington Kiwanis and Pea Ridge Woman's Club. Helen lived her life with compassion, grace, kindness and love. She was a friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff and to Helen's friends at Wyngate, the flower ministry at Steele Memorial United Methodist Church and those that kept in touch with cards and visits. Helen sincerely appreciated the love and care she received from her Wyngate family the past two years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Rev.
