NORMA JAMES JOHNSON
(December 15, 1936 - July 22, 2016)



NORMA JAMES JOHNSON, 79, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed quietly and peacefully away in the arms of her Lord on Friday, July 22, 2016. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Crook Cemetery with Rev. Ray Vance officiating. She was born December 15, 1936 in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Joseph Hanley James and Lorene Taylor James. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Johnson, one son, Robert Patrick Johnson, one sister, Linda Louise James, and four brothers, Sherman, Hank, Bill and Stephen James. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law with whom she made her home with, Lynn and Bill Adkins of Proctorville, along with grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, Tucker and Rileigh Adkins; three sons, James David Washington of Huntington, Timothy Allen Washington of Barboursville and Mark Edward Washington of Lexington, Ky.; three sisters, Jo Ann Meadows of Huntington, Margaret Porter of Chesapeake and Lora Sue Smith of Midlothian, Va.; two brothers, Jim James and Gary Edward James, both of Huntington; eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, in charge of arrangements.
