Obituary
Marilyn Elliott Wamsley Hite, 87, of
Winter Springs,
FL died peacefully on April 15,
2007. She was born in
Lincoln County,
WV, a daughter of the late
Everett and Mintia Elliott. She moved to
Huntington,
WV as a young adult where she
met her husband, Robert Wamsley, who passed away in October 1978.
She continued to reside in
Huntington, devoting her life to
her family. In 1990, she married Forrest Hite of
Barboursville. Due to health reasons, she moved to
Florida in 2005 to live with
her daughter. She was preceded in death by her sisters,
Thelma Akers, Zella Lewis, Ruth Metcalf and Mae Edwards.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Wamsley Vossler Plybon of Winter
Springs, FL; two granddaughters, Kristal Vossler Wingate and her husband,
Norman of Winter Springs, FL and Carrie Vossler and her fiancé, Kevin Beaver
of St. Cloud, FL; two great grandsons, Ryan Plybon and Kristopher Chuzas of
Winter Springs, FL; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuel and Irene
Elliott of Williamson, WV and Ward and Jan Elliott of Sumner, WA; two
nieces; three nephews and special lifelong friends, Margie Thompson of
Barboursville, Phyllis Carson of Tomball, TX and Mary Ann Bielo of
Huntington. Friends may bid their farewell from 6 to 8
p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Beard Mortuary,
Huntington.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25 at
Pea
Ridge
United
Methodist
Church,
Huntington with the Rev. Sue
Jarrett officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest beside
Robert, her husband of 40 years at
Forest
Memorial Park,
Milton,
WV.
