Obituary

Jeffrey Lynn Meadows 57, of Moab, Utah formerly of Huntington, WV passed away on April 17, 2007. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 5, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Beverly Hills Church of Christ with Minister Wayne Carter and Minister Willie Purdee officiating. Inurnment will follow in Pete Meadows Cemetery, Ashton, WV. He was born July 8, 1949 in Huntington, a son of the late Olin Haskell and Juliette Crawford Meadows. He graduated from Huntington East High School in 1967. Jeff was formerly employed by Mavrick Country Stores as a bakery manager and later as manager until 2001 when he had to take a medical retirement due to kidney failure as a result of having diabetes.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Michelle Lynn who died of SIDS at four months old.  He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 37 years, Judy Lowther Meadows, a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tony Osusky of Moab; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Melissa Meadows of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Grace Osusky, Lindsey and Bailey Meadows; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosalie and Carl Ash of Lesage, WV and Jennifer and Mark Honaker of Huntington; a brother, Larry Meadows of Huntington; nieces and nephews, Mike Ash, Andrew Honaker, Celeste Honaker, Anne Honaker, Christi Fowler, Melissa Wessenger, Kevin Meadows and Craig Meadows. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 238, Hurricane, WV  25526. The family will receive friends after 10:00 AM on Saturday at the church. Beard Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
