Betty Jean Blake, 80, of Huntington, WV went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Madison Park Senior Community. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Trent Eastman and Rev. Keith Creasy officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born November 23, 1931, in Smoot, WV the daughter of the late Robert W. and Mary V. (Burns) Flack. She was a loving homemaker and formerly worked as a bookkeeper for Goodall Printing Company. Betty was a member of New Baptist Church, and formerly a member of Highlawn Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served as church clerk for many years. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 57 years, Max Eugene Blake; two sons and daughters-in-law, Max and Susan Blake of Washington, WV and Scott and Michele Blake of Huntington; a daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Ann and Greg Creasy of Barboursville, WV; nine grandchildren, Megan Blake (Jon) Grim, Drew Blake, Rachel Blake (Kyle) Roberts, Stephen Blake, Ginny Blake, and Hannah Blake, Blake Creasy, Luke Creasy and Max Creasy; a great-granddaughter, Karlee Grim; she is also survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Lafayette Bowman of Sunset Beach, NC and Linda and Mike McKeller of Fircrest, WA, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Beard Mortuary.
