PHYLLIS HESSON, 79, of Huntington, widow of Charles Hesson, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born on Dec. 2, 1932, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Lyle and Bertha Baker Osburn. She is survived by a sister, Jeanette (Carl) Ray of Barboursville; a brother, Carl F. Osburn of Nahunta, Ga.; nieces, Carolyn Osburn and Jackie Williams; nephew, Carl Russell Osburn; step-grandson, Scott Hesson; step-granddaughters, Meredith Burgess and Brittany Craft. Mrs. Hesson was a member of the Norway Avenue Church of Christ and several local lodges, including the Ramona Council 135 and the D of A Washington Council No. 6. She was retired from INCO and also volunteered for the Huntington Food Bank. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
