PHYLLIS GARNET KENDRICK, 83, of Huntington, widow of Ira Kendrick, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Heartland of Riverview in South Point, Ohio. She was born on April 7, 1929, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Arnold and Pearl Adkins Bostic. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Orville and Edsel Bostic and sister Bernice Blevins. She is survived by a son David (Darlene) Kendrick of Huntington; sisters Celestine McDaniel and Olive LeGrand; sister-in-law Joyce Bostic; grandchildren Christopher Shawn (Fonda) Kendrick, Tiffany Dawn Kendrick, Kimberly Noel (Billy) Martin and David (Michelle) Kendrick. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Barboursville with Pastor Jerry Warren officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family.
