MARY CATHERINE WILLIAMS, 92, of Lavalette, widow of Walter Ralph “Tom” Williams, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 at her residence. She was born on February 2, 1920 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late George Lee and Prudence Bailey McCoy. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Prince, Nola Adkins and Naomi McCoy; brothers, J. Walter, Wetzel, Sam J., and Leonard McCoy. She is survived by a son, Charles Williams and his wife Gwendolyn of Covington, VA; grandchildren, C.J. Blevins, Brandon Charles Williams, Alicen Charis Williams, Michael Charles Williams, Thomas Paul Williams, Elizabeth Marie Williams, Jonathon David Williams and James Troutman; and great-grandchildren, Jay Wilson and Hannah Marie Wilson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 321 30th Street, Huntington, with Pastor Robert Weaver and Dallas Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington.
