Obituary
Mildred Katherine Dean,
97 of North Mankato, MN formerly of Huntington, WV passed away on Monday
April 21, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at
Beard Mortuary with Rev. Bill Haynes officiating. Entombment will follow in
Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m.
at the funeral home. She was born January 12, 1917 in Matewan, WV the
daughter of the late Young and Sallye Mitchell Kennedy. In addition to her
parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene W. Dean, a son
Robert Dean, sisters, Mary Blankenship, Chloe Blankenship, Nancy Blevins and
Martha Pierce and brothers, Robert, Billy and Ray Kennedy. She was a member
of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for
30 years and was a member of United Methodist Women. She is survived by two
daughters, Dr. Sandra Mullins of North Mankato, MN and Karen Wilson of
Sicklerville, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene C. Dean and Betty of
Cyclone, WV; a sister, Dixie Irvin of Huntington; six grandchildren, Erin
Wilson, Doug Mullins, Keefe, Tracy Licht, Brian and Andrea Dean; two great
grandchildren, Jake and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
