Robert Joseph Moss Jr.
(October 26, 1922 - April 23, 2014)



Robert Joseph “Buck” Moss, Jr. 91 of Huntington, WV passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday April 23, 2014. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Fr. Dean Borgmeyer officiating. Entombment and Military rites will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. He was born October 26, 1922 in Huntington the son of the late Robert J. Moss, Sr. and Clara Gilmore Moss. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanette Salem Moss, a grandson, Robert J. “Robby” Moss, IV and four sisters. Buck was retired from Persinger Supply and after retirement was associated with Moss TV. He was a WWII Veteran having served in Navy. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and in 2001was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the high school. He was very active with the St. Joe Invitational “SJI” Tournament. He is survived by his loving family, daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Bob Herbert and Laura and Tim Cline; sons, Robert J. “Bobby” Moss, III; Michael Moss and Edward “Ed” Moss and wife, Cheryl; grandchildren and spouses, Sarah and Jon Jones, Matt Herbert, Lisa and Evan Johnson, Amy and Mark Hafertepen, Eddie and Allie Moss, Shauna and Paul Fields, Jami Moss, Drew, Christine and Joey Cline; great grandchildren, Noah and Anna Jones, Cade and Cami Johnson, Paxton and Paisley Hafertepen, Olivia Moss and Brody Fields and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Huntington or St. Joseph High School. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary.
