Obituary
Why do the birds go on singing, why do the stars glow above, don't they know its the end of the world, it ended when I lost my Love, Trena. This is the impact felt by Gary for his beloved wife, adapted from a song written by Arthur Kent and Silvia Dee. Trena Lynn Saunders, 67, passed away at her home in Flowery Branch, Georgia on Saturday January 18, 2014. Trena was born July 10, 1946 in Huntington, WV., the daughter of the late Betty Louise and Basil C. Bias. Trena graduated from Huntington East High School in 1964 and she and Gary dated as teenagers. They parted and later married in 1977 while living in Huntington Beach, California. After moving to Milton, WV. in 1980 they relocated in 1985 to Georgia. Trena was a home maker and wonderful wife and mother who will be dearly missed by all who new her. Trena was a lover of all animals and especially her Chihuahuas, Muffyn and Chipper, now passed, and Precious and Buddy who will surely miss being with Trena all day. Trena is survived by her husband, Gary who shared a devotion to each other for thirty seven years. Trena is also survived by her daughter Melissa (Tom) Weekley, sons Albert Wright, Gary (Joelle) Saunders Jr., and Daren (Leslie) Saunders. Nine grandchildren, Kohl, Kyle, and Bethany Weekley, Joshua, Jadyn, Jescey, Jarek, Jenaye and Savana Saunders. Trena is also survived by twin sisters Jan Willis, and Jane (Tom) Ferguson. Arrangements are being handled by Beard Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Trenas honor, to The Humane Society of the United States P.O. Box 52137 Phoenix, AZ. 85072-9995.
