Edgar Azel Corum
(August 17, 1923 ~ December 28, 2017)

Edgar Azel Corum, 94 of Huntington, WV passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Hospice of Huntington with his family by his side. Ed was born August 17, 1923 son of the late Edgar E. and Hazel Sebastian Corum. He was a graduate of Huntington East High School and was employed by Guyan Creamery and Valley Bell Foods. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the European theater during World War II. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 9738. He was a 40 year member of American Legion Post 16. He was preceded in death by two wives, Mabel G. Corum and Hazel R. Corum; two sons, Edgar Kim Corum and Ronald Phillip Corum and a stepson, Lowell Sharp. Survivors include a daughter, Claudia C. Fetter and husband, Dr. A. Fetter, M.D. of Lake Forest, IL; son, Yahn S. Corum and wife, Lynn of Mooresville, NC; daughter-in-law, Robin H. Corum; two step children, Linda Blankenship and Donna Bowman of Huntington; six grandchildren, Rochelle S. (Robert) Kleczynski, Matthew B. (Marisa) Fetter, Camille C. (Ronald) Cole; Aimee, Ashlee and Amber Corum and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Beard Mortuary. A procession will leave the funeral home for Military rites to be held at 12:00 p.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.  Burial will follow.
