Lloyd L. "Shot" Johnson

Lloyd L. “Shot” Johnson 89 of Huntington, WV passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Heartland of Riverview. Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens with Rev. Andy Magnusson officiating. Military rites and burial will follow. He was born December 23, 1927 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Leonard A. and Theodosia Black Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Donald Johnson, Bernistine Gill, Janice Ringle and Kay Nicely. Lloyd was a member of Baptist Temple Church. He was retired from F.W. Means and later managed Ted and Ed’s Imperial Lanes. He was an Army Veteran having fought in heavy combat during the Korean War. In his younger years he was a very talented baseball and basketball player and in later years golfer. He was an avid Marshall fan. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Dodrill Johnson, two sons, Chad Johnson (Shirley) of Huntington and Scott Johnson (Ruth) of Bluffton, SC; four grandsons, Cameron, Tanner, Zach and Thomas Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
