Anna Lee (Compton) Trautwein
(February 26, 1932 ~ July 16, 2017)

 Anna Lee (Compton) Trautwein, age 85, of Huntington, WV, died on July 16, 2017 at The Village at Riverview in Barboursville, WV, as a result of Alzheimer’s disease. She leaves her husband of 67 years, Charles Trautwein; her daughter, Patricia Johnston and her husband, Harry; her grand-daughter, Leigh Hall and her husband, Ryan; her siblings, Donna Napier and her husband, Ira; Jack Compton and his wife, Frances; and Dr. B.R. Compton and his wife, Joan; and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Trautwein was born February 26, 1932 in Monclo, WV in Logan County, the daughter of Tivis and Ella Compton. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1950 and married her husband, Charles Trautwein, on June 1, 1950, at a private ceremony in Wayne, WV. Mrs. Trautwein continued her education to graduate from the Huntington School of Business and she later achieved a B.A. degree in Education from Marshall University in 1973. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9738 Axillary. Mrs. Trautwein enjoyed crochet, collecting glassware, playing Bingo, and spending time with her family. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, 130 Academy Drive, Dunbar, WV, with Pastor Steve Hinkle officiating.
