Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Bowles, 84, of Huntington, WV, formerly of West Hamlin, WV, died Sunday September 6, 2009 in Cornerstone Hospital. Graveside funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday September 10, 2009 at White Chapel Mausoleum, Barboursville. Dottie was born January 23, 1925 in West Hamlin, WV the only daughter of the late George & Lula McComas Bias. She was a retired secretary with 50 years of service, having worked for the C & O Railway, Huntington Housing Authority, Case Trucking & R.L. Brown Architect. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Froud Bowles in 1972, 4 brothers Carl, Osel, Dennis & Richard Bias. She is survived by one beloved son Guy B. Bowles & his wife Mary of Centerburg, OH., a niece Mary Belle Sowards of West Hamlin and several other nieces & nephews, many good friends and neighbors. There will be no visitation. Friends may call at the cemetery after 9:30 AM Thursday. Those who wish may make contributions to the charity of your choice. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is in charge of arrangements.
