John Albert Goble, Sr.
(May 30, 1929 - September 19, 2009)



John Albert Goble, Sr., 80, of Huntington, widower of Mary Helen Goble, passed away Saturday September 19, 2009, at Mount Carmel West, Columbus, OH. He was born May 30, 1929, in Milton, WV, a son of the late Melvin Shelton and Ima Gladys McCoy Goble. In addition to his wife and parents, others preceding him in death were a grandson, Jeffrey Morgan Goble; two sisters, Mary Helener and Geneva Goble; and a brother, Edwin Rudolph Goble. He was a retired bus driver for AC Transit in Emeryville, CA, and belonged to Amalgamated Transit Union Local 192. Survivors include his daughter, Mona Lisa Goble, with whom he lived with in Huntington; a son, John Albert "Jack" Goble, Jr., of Englewood, CO; a granddaughter and her husband, Molly Elizabeth and Dan Dynarski of San Ramon, CA; a great granddaughter, Chassi Holley Dynarski also of San Ramon; a brother, Gary Goble of Scott Depot, WV; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Dan Morris of Charleston, WV; and many loving relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff of the 2NE Unit of River Park Hospital in Huntington; Hickory Creek of Athens, The Plains, OH,: Mt Carmel West Hospital, Columbus, OH; Mt. Carmel West Hospice, Columbus, OH; Alzheimer's Association of West Virginia; and WV and OH Adbunsman for Nursing Homes. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 PM Sunday September 27, 2009 at the White Chapel Mausoleum with the Pastor Brady K. Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the cemetery.
