Obituary



Eugene L. Fraley, 86, of Huntington, husband of 62 years to Winona F. Franklin Fraley, went to be with the Lord he loved on Monday night, April 25, 2016 from the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born February 8, 1930 in Huntington a son to the late Genis and Gertrude Griffith Fraley. Gene was a route salesman with Pilgrim Laundry and Dry Cleaners, and retired from White Way Launderers Cleaners. After retirement he delivered flowers for Spurlock's Flowers. His passion was his family and he was a proud member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Gary Barbour of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sonya Fraley of Huntington; three grandchildren, Brandon Barbour and wife, Jenny Barbour, and Nikki Dudley and husband, Josh Dudley, all of Huntington, and Zack Fraley of Barboursville; four sisters-in-law whom he considered sisters, Frances Clay and husband, Jerry Clay of Chesapeake, OH, Vicki Roach of Proctorville, Dorothy Lena Ewing and Brenda Crum, both of Columbus; and three brothers-in-law he considered brothers, Richard Franklin and William Franklin of Proctorville, and Dotson Franklin and wife, Olive, of Columbus; a host of nieces and nephews; and his special boy, "Nigel" his dog. Donations may be made to his honor to Hospice of Huntington, which the family would like to thank, and also thank his church members for their support during his sickness. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor David Clark officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit with family one hour prior to services Thursday at Chapman's Mortuary.
