Obituary
Anita Chapman Estep, 61, of Hurricane, WV, formerly of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord, Monday, February, 22, 2016, at her residence, after a courageous battle with melanoma. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2016, at Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church, Hurricane, WV, with Dr. Ellis Conley officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Memorial Gardens, Huntington. Her grandson and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Anita was born August 21, 1954 in Huntington a daughter of the late Elmer Marion Chapman, Jr. and Mildred Mae Martin Chapman Hall. She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bill Chapman and her step father, Dr. Ralph H. Hall. She was retired from Verizon Telephone Company; was a member of Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church; and was a 1972 graduate of Huntington East High School. Survivors include: her husband of 35 years, Rick Estep; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Marinacci and Dr. J.B. Marinacci of Hurricane; her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Andrew "Joey" Estep and Jodi Estep of Huntington; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Connie Chapman of Milton, WV, Brenda and David Hanson of Winfield, WV, Marion and Ed Jacobson of Apex, NC, and Dora Chapman Wright and Mike Wright of Huntington; and two brothers-in-law, Sidney Estep, Jr. of Huntington and Jeff and Kim Estep of Lewisburg, WV. She was lovingly called "Nene" by her four loving grandchildren that she adored, Alyssa Marion Marinacci, Andrew Davis Marinacci, Addley Marie Marinacci, and Khloe Hui-Suk Estep; six nephews, Billy, Todd and Mark Chapman, Charlie Johnson, Chad and Drew Jacobson, and Wes Wright; a niece, Candice Riggleman; three great nieces, Amanda Henson, Casey Smith, and Holley Johnson; a great nephew, Brycen Wright; and a great great niece, Kennedi Rae. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, and after noon Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church Backpack Buddies or the Community Cupboard, where she volunteered, at 2848 Putnam Avenue, Hurricane, WV 25526 or the Huntington City Mission at 624 10th.
