    Pete Meadows, Jr.,
88, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the Emogene
Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born October 3, 1927 in Huntington, WV a

electrician from the former INCO Alloys; was a U.S. Navy veteran of World
War II; and was a member of VFW Post 9738. Survivors include: four children,
Michelle "Mickey" Meadows of Huntington, Pete (Adell) Meadows of
    Mississippi, and Vickie (Larry) Verbage and Todd Meadows, all of Huntington;

Drew, Hailey, Brody, and Sadie Meadows, Bryson and Riley Maynard, and Kane
and Presley Heinmiller; and two great great grandchildren, Kyle and Gannon
Ward. The Meadows/Verbage family would like to extend our "Thanks" to the
staff of the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for all of their
professionalism during this difficult time for our family. Not only for the
care they provided for the last several months, but for the Veterans sendoff
they honored him with as he left their care. We were so fortunate to have
had them help us give him the dignity of remaining at the home he built and
loved, for as long as it was possible. For that reason, we ask that in lieu
of flowers, a donation be made in honor of him, to the Hospice House of
Huntington. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 pm Friday at Chapman's
Mortuary, Huntington. The procession will leave the funeral home at 2:10 pm
Friday. Graveside services will be conducted 2:30 pm Friday, July 29, 2016,
at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, with Phil Porter officiating and
Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 conducting military graveside rites.
