Obituary
Mrs. Elsie Sullivan Hill, of Huntington, WV who resided in Wetumpka, Alabama for the past four years passed away peacefully Friday, October 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was 94 years old and died from an extended illness. Elsie is pre-deceased by her husband, Jack Hill. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hill Adkins, her son-in-law, Robert H. Adkins; her grandson, Robert A. Adkins (Mary Jo) and granddaughter, Debra Adkins Garrity (Glen). She is also survived by 8 loving great-grandchildren, Christopher (Samantha) and Sean (Shelby Smith) Wadlow. Dale and Dan Adkins, Amanda and Jason Melton and Shane and Sean Garrity as well as three great-great-grandchildren, Levi Christopher, Marley Rae, and angel in heaven Lila Grace Wadlow. Elsie came from a large family of brothers and sisters. She is pre-deceased by her brother Jack Sullivan and 2 sisters, Arlene Sullivan and Juanita McNeely. She is survived by her sisters, Eleanor Warren, Wanda Adkins (Bob), Janet Parsons (Cecil) and Carolyn Evans as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Elsie was an avid golfer and played until she was 86 years old and enjoyed membership at the Riviera Golf and Country Club in Lesage, West Virginia. She attended Lewis Memorial Baptist Church in Huntington. A celebration of Elsie's life will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00 am (U.S. Rte. 60 Midland Trail, Barboursville, WV, The White Chapel Mausoleum) Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Entombment will follow at the mausoleum. The family would like to thank all Elsie's Loving caregivers, all the Lake Martin Hospice Ladies for their love and care they have shown her throughout her illness. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lake Martin Hospice of Wetumpka, 500 Hospital Drive, Wetumpka, Alabama 36092, or a charity of your choice.
