Obituary

Ruth Ann Gardner Meadows, 88, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23, 2017. She was born August 21, 1929 in Rutland, OH a daughter of the late George Hollis and Ruth Marie Gardner. Her brother, Eugene Gardner, also preceded her in death. Surviving is her loving husband of 69 years, John S. Meadows, Jr.; her sister, Jo Ella Hunter; her children Stan Meadows (Kathy), Jeffrey Meadows (Mary Jo Lewis), and Rebecca Anthony (Bill); seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was employed by the Cabell County Board of Education as a Secretary at Meadows Elementary School. She was a lifelong member of the former 20th. Street Baptist Church and a charter member of New Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Trent Eastman officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.
