Myrtle Marie Gothard, 58, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, KY. Myrtle was born on February 8, 2019 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late John Hensley and Vesta Kirk Hensley. Survivors include her husband, Kermit Gothard of Flatwoods, KY; a son Kevin (Hayley Pennington) Gothard, of Huntington; four brothers, Jerry Hensley, Michael Hensley, Gary Hensley, all of Lima, OH and Billy (Linda) Hensley of North Carolina; three sisters, Kay Adams Flatwoods, KY, Sandra Carter of Huntington, and Norma Brunty of Lima, OH; a granddaughter, Savannah Gothard of Huntington, and a special friend, Matt Primrose of Flatwoods, KY. Myrtle will be remembered as a simple country girl who never met a stranger. Friends and family may call at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, on Monday, February 11, 2019, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 12:00 PM at Chapman's Mortuary with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV.
