Betty Lou Meadows


Betty Lou Meadows, 88, of Ona, WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at her residence. Betty was born July 31, 1931 in Huntington, WV, a daughter to the late Hezekiah and Lillie Benedict Lawrence. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Marion Lee Meadows, five sisters, and five brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Gary) Dunn of Indianapolis, IN, and Robin (Gary) Hamilton of Ona; one grandson, Jeremy (Susan) Dunn of Indianapolis, IN; one granddaughter, Melissa Dunn of Chicago, IL; a great grandson, Jacob Michael Dunn of Indianapolis; and her brother, David Lawrence of Homosassa, FL. Betty was a member of Altizer Baptist Church, and a firm believer in her faith of her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was a very loving mother and grandmother, and loved her extended family and friends. She was a kind and gentle lady, who loved and respected everyone. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Cledith V. Campbell, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, beside her husband, Marion. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington and Dr. Pinson for the care of our loved one through this difficult time. Friends may visit family after 10:00 am Wednesday at Chapman's Mortuary.
