Norma Kay Adkins


Norma Kay Adkins 76, of Lavalette, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at home surrounded by her children. Born July 21, 1944 in Aflex, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Mildred Stevens Fish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Erika Renea Adkins; three sisters, Shirley Selvey, Donna Williamson and Teresa Fish; two brothers, Dennis and Randy Fish. She worked for the Wayne County Board of Education. Survivors include one daughter, Tabitha Adkins of Huntington; one son and daughter-in-law, Daren and Kelly Adkins of Lavalette; three sisters, Sandra McCoy (Charles), Marsha Gibson (Bo), Tonya McBrayer (Jack); three brothers, Gary Fish (Helen), Mitch Fish, Keith Fish (Kim); 5 grandchildren, Austin Adkins, Devon Breedon, Lyndie Queen (Jacob), Logan Hunter and Elayna Adkins. There are to be no services at this time. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family. The family wishes to thank St. Mary's Medical Center, the Hospice House and Hospice of Huntington for their care and compassion for Norma during her illness.
