Richard Elgie Sullivan, III


Richard Elgie Sullivan, III, 56, of Huntington, died Thursday, April 15, 2021 at his residence. He was born February 2, 1965 in Huntington a son of Sharon Kay Henderson of Huntington, and the late Richard Elgie Sullivan, Jr. His sister, Jennifer Dyan Collins and his fiancée, JoAnn Hastings also preceded him in death. He was a carpet installer and a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his mother, survivors include his step-father, Mark Anthony Meabon of Huntington; five children, Rachel Sullivan of Huntington, Ashlyn Sullivan of Cape Coral, FL, Ricky Adkins of Ashland, Zachary Adkins of Ashland, KY, and Jeremy Castle; a sister, Alberta Jane Sullivan of Huntington; half-brother, Brian Brooks of Huntington; and many grandchildren, friends and additional family. Funeral service will be conducted 4:00 pm Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Mark Boyd officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, Huntington. Friends may visit after 3:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
