Charlotte Marie Clausen


Charlotte Marie Clausen, 78, of Huntington, WV, died Sunday, March 7, 2021, at her residence. A Celebration of her life will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Monday, March 15, 2021, at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington, with her son-in-law, Burke Beaumont speaking at 2:00 pm and the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley conducting their honor service. Charlotte was born August 8, 1942 in Accoville, WV a daughter of the late Jimmy and Stella Stratton Smith. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Smith. Charlotte spent her younger years going to church and Girl Scouts and reached the highest rank possible in Girl Scouts. She was a 1960 graduate of Man High School where she was her class president. She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing where she was class president and Captain of the basketball team. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was last employed as head of the Home Healthcare Department at C.C.C.S.O. She was a member of the Crossroads United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles Jan Clausen; one daughter, Laura Lynn (Burke) Beaumont of Tucson, AZ; one son, Eric Jan Clausen of Knoxville, TN; and four grandchildren, Ethan, Andrew, Samuel and Charlotte Clausen. If attending please wear facial covering and honor social distancing.
