Doris Marie Cupp


Doris Marie Cupp, 90, of Lesage, WV, widow of Charles R. Cupp, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at her residence. She was born March 22, 1930 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Robert H. and Nora McComas Adkins. One sister, Evelyn Price and one step-son, Michael Cupp also preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Guyan Valley High School, a veteran of the US Naval Reserve, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, active in the Cox's Landing Women's Club, the Barboursville Senior Center, the Red Hat Society and was a member of Olive Baptist Church. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara Adkins of Wetumpka, AL; one brother-in-law, Ralph "Billy" Price of Gallipolis, OH; a step daughter and her husband Carolyn and Nick Ghantous of Cincinnati, OH; a step granddaughter, Jamie Spurlock; 3 step great grandchildren, Kenzie, Katriel and Rheece Spurlock also all of Cincinnati, OH; caregivers, Violet Walters and Connie Sloan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, March 8, 2021 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Gordon Rutherford officiating. Burial will be in Herrenkohl Cemetery, Lesage. Friends may call one hour prior to service time Monday at the funeral home. For those wishing to attend, please wear facial coverings and practice social distancing.
